Woody Gibson

Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

Woody is presently CEO and founder of Stalwart Power, Inc. He is also Senior Advisor to the Managing Director of Jane Capital Partners and co-founder of spin-out Smart Wires, Inc., acting as the first CEO in which he raised funds, recruited the management team, and secured original technology patent licenses from Georgia Tech. Mr. Gibson also developed the original manufacturing and R&D facilities that is the foundations of Smart Wires today. A visionary who specializes in pulling together great ideas, technologies, teams and strategic partnerships, Woody has been instrumental in co-founding 15 technology startups in the energy and environmental sectors. Woody was the co-founder and Director of Zenergy Power plc where he also held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Zenergy Power, Inc. (formerly SC Power Systems, Inc.), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zenergy Power plc. Previously, he was the Founder and SVP of Business Development of Thorne Environmental, a US remediation firm where he was responsible for identifying and incorporating new technologies. Woody also served as General Manager/Special Projects Planner for International Technologies Corporation (ITX:NYSE) and played a major role in helping grow revenues from $2 million to $1 billion in 5 years through the acquisitions of several companies. Earlier in his career he was a consultant for Lloyd’s of London, managing marine salvage projects on behalf of Lloyd’s around the world. Woody started his career as a US Navy diver, and has a degree in marine engineering and an executive M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.

Bert Nelson

Chief Operating Officer

Burt Nelson has served as an executive in numerous firms, recently including Zenergy Power, a FCL development company. Mr. Nelson is Board Member at Iowa State University Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering External Advisory Board. He has been Member of the Board of Directors of TEGG Corporation since March 2006. He served as a Nuclear Submarine Engineering Officer for 28-years of combined active and reserve service, and has maintained a commission in the Retired Reserve. Mr. Nelson spent five years with military contractors in various technical roles from 1986 to 1991. He is a Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He completed post-graduate business studies at the University of Maryland and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, graduated from the U.S. Naval War College with distinction (JPME I) and as a Naval Engineer from the US Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland

Aric Saunders

VP Strategy and Partnerships

Co-founder of multiple companies involved in all levels of the solar and energy storage industries. Developed a no credit check PPA for Native Hawaiians. Consulted, designed, and launched a residential and utility scale BESS. Co-founded Distributed Energy Resources Council of Hawaii to utilize policies and incentives to help Hawaii reach 100% renewable energy. BS UC-Boulder.

Dave Bardelli

VP Sales & Marketing

A senior executive with over 18 years of hands on experience and consultation in startup and established companies, Dave Bardelli has been focusing on onsite electrical power generation and distribution. Dave has specific expertise in formulation and implementation of strategic direction, product design and development. Most recently, Mr. Bardelli was founder and CEO of Amerigen Power Solutions LLC.

Michael Fay

Financial Officer/ Controller

An innovative and collaborative executive with an extensive background in all aspects of private and public accounting, Mike has a proven record of improving operating performance in high-growth, fast-paced companies.  Bankers, private equity firms and venture capitalists recognize him as a valued member of their transaction service ecosystem and as a valued consulting partner for enhancing their accretive deal flow accomplishments.  Mike has operated as CFO and Controller for a number of Silicon Valley and San Francisco based companies.

David Niebauer

Corporate Counsel

David Niebauer has over 25 years of domestic and international corporate finance experience, with a particular focus on clean energy. Acts as General Counsel for innovative cleantech companies, including Smart Wires, Brillouin Energy Corp. and LumiGrow. Formerly a Partner with Graham and James LLP (now Squire Patton Boggs) and General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer for DigitalVentures, David received his  B.A. from the State University of New York, his M.A. from the University of Michigan, and his J.D. from the Brooklyn Law School.

Robyn Beavers


Robyn Beavers was most recently the founder and leader of the newly formed Station A Group at NRG Energy. Ms. Beavers has served as Director of Commercialization, Water & Power at DEKA Research & Development, as well as Emerging Markets & Segments at Vestas. Robyn received her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. She was previously a Recovery Act Fellow at the US Department of Energy and Green Business & Operations Strategist at Google where she found and led the first environmental strategy group within the company.
